2018-19 Lobbyist Compensation: It's Hard to Compare

There's a wide variety of ways lobbyists can calculate their pay. As a result, it's difficult to rank how much companies and groups paid to compensate lobbyists. The chart below provides two different ways to look at the top 50 spenders from May 2018-April 2019.

Methodology: List includes the 51 companies and organizations that reported the highest amount paid for lobbyist compensation from May 2018 through April 2019. There were two tied at $46,250.
