Party Control in the House of Delegates

With Democrats winning a majority in the House of Delegates this year, the party in control of the House has shifted in every election since 2018. This back-and-forth is a new occurrence for the General Assembly's lower chamber. Prior to 2018, Republicans and Democrats had only swapped control of the House once since 1960.
