Incumbent-blind redistricting by the Supreme Court of Virginia has created an unprecedented situation where 37 state legislators are paired in the same district. Here is a comparison of money raised during the last six months of 2022 by the primary campaign account of paired legislators in both chambers.

Source: Pairings determined by VPAP using a spatial analysis based on legislators' last known residential address. Campaign finance figures from year-end campaign finance disclosures with the Virginia Department of Elections that were due a 11:59 pm on Tuesday. The reports cover activity from July 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022. Totals do not include money raised by leadership PACs.
