2020 Session 'Gift' Disclosures
Legislators disclosed free meals and receptions totaling more than $12,000 during the 2020 General Assembly session. Half of the 140 lawmakers reported at least one gift valued at more than $50.

Notes: Many legislators avoid accepting meals or receptions valued at more than $50. For many, one exception is the Virginia Agribusiness Council annual banquet, held the second night of the General Assembly session. This year, 51 lawmakers disclosed accepting a free ticket to the banquet. For 29 lawmakers, that was the only session gift they reported.
