Most Votes Aren't Close

The majority of votes in the General Assembly are unanimous, or have little opposition. Only one in four votes has strong opposition, but those votes almost always fall along party lines.

Note: Only includes floor votes through the end of the regular session and excludes routine procedural votes. "A lot" of opposition means that those opposed to the prevailing position constituted at least one-third of those voting
