Republicans Seek to Close Gap in Early Votes
Results from recent primaries for the House of Delegates show that Republicans are closing the gap with Democrats in turning out early voters. Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced a new "seven-figure" campaign to encourage Republicans to cast their ballots before Election Day, in hopes of challenging the Democrats' consistent advantage among early voters. Results from the June Primary show that Republicans have already begun to increase the percentage of voters casting early votes, more than doubling the early vote share compared to 2021.
