Presidential Fundraising Through July 2024

President Biden had a narrow lead in total contributions from individual Virginia donors at the beginning of 2024 and it grew steadily throughout the first five months of the year. Former President Trump narrowed that lead immediately following his conviction in the trial in New York. Again, former President Trump began to close the gap until President Biden dropped out and Vice President Kamala Harris became the successor to his campaign.
