Special Election: Senate District 7

If the unofficial results in the 2nd congressional district are confirmed, a special election will be held to fill the one year remaining in the term of state Sen. Jen Kiggans. The special election likely will take place before the 2023 General Assembly convenes on January 11. It will be held in the same district boundaries that were in place when Kiggans won the seat in 2019.
