    Matters: This year, we would like to pass legislation that would require universities to inform families if their student intends to commit suicide unless circumstances are such that to do so would harm the student. This is in line with the court ruling of the Daniel Kim case, a Virginia Tech student who expressed the intent to commit suicide and who did commit suicide and his family was never told.
